Ten years ago, I obtained a Master’s degree in Education to teach history and social studies. Liking teaching and learning better outside than inside the classroom, I quickly moved to tour guiding.
I lead local and national outings for Sierra Club and have served as a leader for the club’s Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) Program, taking city youths hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, and rafting. Created and annually coordinate a church program that delivers gift bags with meals, drugstore/supermarket gift cards, and holiday cards to 250 seniors.
